Despite being a Ford guy, I will comment on the Honda-Toyota conclusion. I earnestly oppose with Toyotas defeat here. While I worked in the parts business a a small number of years ago, I did business sales. I had to do a lot of work with the dealerships and I was really pretty impressed with the Toyota dealers in this area, not including the dealership in Westminster, Maryland. (They went on my hit list, for lack of a improved expression, after a a small number of very bad experiences.) I also owned a Toyota. My chief automobile was a light brown 1995 Toyota Corolla. I found it a great deal easier to get dealer parts for that car than other domestics, and I can tell youcertainly that Honda pieces are not as simple to find and are more expensive. I am not sure why more parts businesses prefer to do business with Honda over Toyota.
