A Quick Guide To Your Team Losi Choices
Team Losi is undoubtedly one of the leading brand names in the RC industry today. In fact, there are few companies that can hold a candle to it in terms of value for money, quality, reputation and history. However, if you have yet to experience the amazing RC trucks and cars that Team Losi offers then you may be at a loss as to where to begin because their range of RC toys is absolutely huge. The rest of this article will help you to find the model that suits you, or at least give you a good starting point.
First of all, you need to know a few facts about Team Losi vehicles. The first is that they come in 4 scales. There is the micro scale (1/36 of the scale of the actual vehicle), mini (1/18), car (1/10) and truck (1/8). As such, you can effectively buy a Team Losi vehicle in the size that you want. You can also customise most of them too so you can add and upgrade various parts and accessories as and when you want to. There are plenty of accessories available that are value for money so taking the time to make your car your own is worth it.
As well as having a specific scale, Team Losi also releases its cars in three different formats. There is the RTR (ready to run) series, racing kits and racing race rollers. The first of the three options is pretty self explanatory. The car or truck comes already built so you can literally remove the packaging, place it on the floor and begin to play with it right away. This obviously appeals to people of all levels of experience, but it is worth checking the contents of the RTR kit when you order it because a handful of Team Losi vehicles do not come with everything needed to work. You may need a battery, a charger or even fuel to run the vehicle so it is worth checking so you can order what you need from Team Losi to avoid delay later.
Team Losi racing kits and racing race rollers are a little different. The former is obviously a kit to build a car or truck and the models are always customisable so real enthusiasts absolutely love these. There is always, of course, an instruction manual so you can put it together effectively. Most of the Team Losi kits are actually of a competition standard, but then so are the racing race rollers. The third type of car actually comes virtually completed but they are hand built and tuned so that you can really make the most of them. These two are similar because you can customise them but you will have to maintain them on a regular basis.
As you can see, you have plenty of options when it comes to choosing one of the Team Losi vehicles to race on a competition or hobby level. No matter which one you choose though, you will find that they are a pleasure to handle and enjoy every moment!
